It uses 28 AWG pure-copper unshielded twisted pairs with a PVC jacket and RJ45 plugs fitted with gold contacts and strain-relief boots, delivering up to 500 MHz bandwidth and 10GBASE-T (10 Gbps) performance. It is backward compatible with Cat5e and Cat6 and exceeds TIA/EIA 568-B standards.
