The PV18-1012 VPM II is the entry point to MUST's PV1800 VPM II series: a high-frequency inverter, MPPT solar charge controller and mains battery charger in one compact wall unit, built around a 12 V battery bank.

It delivers 1000 VA / 1000 W of continuous pure sine wave output with 2000 VA of surge headroom for motor start-up, and switches between mains and battery in 10 ms in UPS mode — fast enough that computers and routers do not drop.

Sizing it honestly

This is a small inverter, and it pays to match it to the job. Its MPPT controller accepts up to 105 V of open-circuit panel voltage and a 600 W array, charging at up to 45 A. That comfortably covers lighting, fans, a television, a router and a domestic fridge. Air conditioning, water pumps and electric heating need one of the larger units in the series.

The LCD panel exposes the settings that actually matter on site — charge current, charge voltage, the working mode, and whether solar or mains takes priority — as button presses rather than a service menu, so an installer can retune the system for winter without special tools.
